Meet Lauren
Estate planning should feel personal—because the life behind it is.
I’m Lauren Olan, an attorney and the founder of The Law Office of Lauren Olan, LLC. I created my firm around a simple idea: estate planning should begin with a conversation about your life—not a stack of documents.

My approach
Good planning starts with understanding.
I want you to understand not only what goes into your estate plan, but why. That means taking the time to talk through the people you want to protect, what you’ve worked to build, the decisions you may need someone else to make, and the legacy you want to leave behind. From there, we can create a plan that reflects your priorities and makes sense for the life you’re actually living.
My career has taken me through tax law, legal education, and teaching—different roles with one thing in common: taking something that can feel complicated and making it easier to understand. That experience shapes the way I approach estate planning today.
Estate planning asks you to make decisions that are legal on paper but deeply personal in real life. Who would you trust to make decisions for you? Who do you want to protect? What happens to the things you’ve worked for? What do you want to make easier for the people you love someday? A good plan has to account for the law, but it also has to account for your answers to those questions.
I see my role as helping you connect the two. I’ll explain the legal options without making them more complicated than they need to be, help you think through how those choices could work in your actual life, and make sure you understand the plan we ultimately put in place.

what you can expect
A planning experience that feels a little more human.
You don’t need to arrive knowing which documents you need or having every decision already made. We’ll start with where you are, talk through what matters to you, and work through the questions together.
CLEAR, NOT COMPLICATED
Legal concepts should be explained in a way that actually makes sense. I’ll give you the information you need without burying it in unnecessary legal language.
PERSONAL, NOT ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL
Your plan should reflect your family, your priorities, and the life you’ve built—not simply follow a standard checklist.
THOUGHTFUL, NOT RUSHED
You should have room to ask questions, consider your options, and understand the decisions you’re making before your plan is complete.
ready to start planning?
